Systems Engineer - Radar

New Principal Systems Engineering Opportunity Supporting Next-Gen Radar Systems

This company is looking for a Radar Principal Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

What You Will Do:

You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation.

Some specific responsibilities:

• Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements
• Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions
• Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance
• Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers

Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements You will be completing the above responsibilities in one or more capability areas including:

• Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics
• Hypersonic threat defense
• Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces
• Radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support
• Modeling and simulation of tactical software

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $130.00/hr.
