We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to participate in various systems engineering activities. These activities may include Concept of Operations Formulation, Requirements Definition, System Architecting, System Analysis and Design, Interface and Data Architectures, Validation and Verification, System Integration, and Lifecycle Cost Analysis. This role may involve working independently on moderately complex projects or as part of a team on larger projects. Candidates must be capable of providing efficient solutions to a variety of systems engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- Participate in systems engineering activities such as concept formulation, requirements analysis, and system design.
- Provide solutions to systems engineering problems of moderate complexity.
- Support subject matter experts in developing technical and managerial recommendations.
- Make decisions that impact project schedules, costs, and risks.
- Interact with supervisors, peers, and occasionally customers to exchange factual information.
- Provide guidance to entry-level staff and support systems engineering projects independently.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Proficiency in MagicDraw and other MBSE modeling tools.
- Understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
- Detailed knowledge of systems engineering competencies.
- Intermediate knowledge of at least one customer domain.
- A Bachelor of Science and 8 years of experience or a Master of Science and 6 years of experience.
- Preference for candidates with a Master of Science in System Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 2-4 years of direct systems engineering experience.
- Experience with DOORS and other requirements database tools.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition processes.
- Experience supporting DoD programs.
- OCSMP and INCOSE SEP certifications.
- Collaborative mindset, open communication, and flexibility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
