Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer, you will provide onsite technical support for TMS and Control Center applications, ensuring smooth operation and customer satisfaction. You will act as the primary liaison for troubleshooting and resolving complex system-level issues, including performance, compatibility, and configuration challenges. You will lead software deployment activities and coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to ensure successful implementation and customer acceptance.

Responsibilities:

• Log customer-reported issues in the Change Request (CR) system, track progress, and drive resolution of deficiencies within agreed timelines.
• Customize and validate Control Center System application data and parameters to meet specific project and customer requirements.
• Monitor and manage technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from initial analysis to final demonstration.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding issue status, resolution plans, and system updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues related to memory, performance, and compatibility.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in Information Systems, Computer programming or Engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in transportation or industrial automation.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, and industry-standard protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of System Engineering and interface control documents.
• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems, including systems administration, installation, configuration, and server management.
• A certification or demonstrated skill in technical assessment and troubleshooting, with knowledge of tools like GDB, Wireshark, etc.
• Experience or understanding of control and/or communication systems design, operation, and evaluation.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves using SCADA systems, Linux, and Windows operating systems. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of software deployment activities.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Melbourne, FL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
