Software Systems Engineer

As a Software Systems Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and enhance cutting-edge products and services. You will develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and testing using advanced tools. The role requires a strong understanding of software practices and terminology, and the ability to influence the organization's direction while being a key contributor to its success.

Responsibilities:

• Research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products and services.
• Develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms.
• Guide systems from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and testing.
• Identify and raise questions to ensure successful task completion.
• Influence the direction of the organization and contribute to its overall success.

Essential Skills:

• MBSE (Model Based System Engineering)
• Software architecture experience
• Experience with interface control documents
• Experience in developing and managing requirements specifications
• Decomposition of requirements and design experience
• Advanced experience with requirements management and system modeling tools such as CAMEO
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles
• Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting
• Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
• Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, NoMagic, Matlab, INCOSE, and Cameo

This is a Contract position based out of Centennial, CO. The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
