Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will represent our manufacturing plants. You will take a leadership role in product launch and current model quality and capacity. You will be empowered to make quality decisions and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company at manufacturing plants.
  • Lead initiatives related to product launch and quality assurance for current models.
  • Make empowered quality decisions on behalf of the company.
  • Authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes (e.g., IATF), Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Strong manufacturing experience, program management, and basic computer skills.
  • Quality systems knowledge/experience.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse people, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing processes such as molding, coating/painting, and assembly.
  • Preferred commodity experience with exterior lighting, mechanisms, and other relevant components.
  • Preferred problem-solving skills such as Green Belt/Black Belt, Red X, etc.
  • Supplier Quality experience.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $50.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
