We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join a full-service, award-winning architectural, engineering, and construction management firm located in Northern Virginia. This dynamic company, established in 1985, offers a diverse range of services to both public and private sector clients. This position supports the Structural Division and involves designing building structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. This is a career position with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive construction documents for various projects.
• Draft and design building structures, utilizing skills in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform structural steel design and ensure compliance with safety and economic specifications.
• Design structures to withstand internal and external forces, selecting appropriate materials and reinforcements.

Essential Skills:

• Degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering related to building designs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit.
• E.I.T Certification.
• Ability to interpret and compile complete sets of construction documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Design experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles.
• Experience in drafting and commercial building design.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr. 401k Health/Medical benefits 1 week sick 3 weeks PTO End of year bonus
