Structural Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Structural Engineer to perform analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures. The role involves leading design efforts on simple to moderately complex assignments, conducting site investigations and inspections, and collaborating with other engineering staff and architects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in a variety of structural engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures.
• Serve as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments.
• Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspections.
• Perform site inspections for work engineered by our office.
• Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects.
• Coordinate work product with other in-house engineering staff and architects.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in structural engineering, design, and analysis.
• Experience with structural steel, concrete, and transportation design.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NJDOT.
• Understanding and application of code requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus.
• NY/NJ PE certification is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be part of a team of five Structural Engineers working on design projects in New York City. The role offers a hybrid structure and involves working with a diverse range of public and private sector clients. The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
