Structural Engineer

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join a full-service, award-winning architectural/engineering/construction management firm located in Northern Virginia. This firm has been recognized for its diverse range of services provided to both public and private sector clients since its incorporation in 1985. The role offers a career position with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive construction documents.
• Perform drafting and design tasks, as all engineers handle their own drafting.
• Conduct structural steel design.
• Engage in structural engineering design related to building structures using materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Complete full life cycle design and compile a complete set of construction documents.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in structural design and civil engineering.
• Experience with structural steel design.
• Ability to use AutoCAD proficiently.
• Knowledge of Revit.
• Capability to assemble complete construction documents from start to finish.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Design experience in structural engineering concerning building designs.
• E.I.T. Certification is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret construction documents.
• Experience with commercial building design, masonry, and wood.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr. This is a long term, stable, career position with opportunity for advancement and professional development. They offer a GREAT Benefits package which includes the following:-90% paid Major Medical for the entire family. Depending on the candidate, it can be as much as $30,000 a year. -100% paid dental for entire family-Paid Life Insurance-Bonus Plan-average close to 15% of annual salary -Retirement Plan-SWSG will contribute dollar to dollar match-Start with 3 week vacation and 12 paid holidays.
