Structural Engineer II

We're looking for a motivated Structural Engineer II to join our growing Structural Engineering Department in Raleigh, NC. What You'll Do

• Perform structural analysis and design using both manual calculations and advanced software tools.
• Develop internal tools to streamline analysis, design workflows, and report automation.
• Provide CAD support for structural design drawings and collaborate with other departments.
• Coordinate with field teams for structure mapping and inspection projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports with recommendations for commercial and telecom structures.
• Review local and jurisdictional requirements to ensure compliance in design and construction.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand design needs and meet production deadlines.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of work completed by other engineering and technical staff.

What You Bring

• Proficiency with commercial tower analysis software such as tnxTower.
• Familiarity with finite-element software like RISA 3D.
• Knowledge of foundation analysis and design tools.
• Skilled in visual calculation software such as MathCAD.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2012 or later.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Programming experience with VBA and other object-oriented languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in structural engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of tower and foundation reinforcement techniques.
• Experience in wireless telecommunications structure analysis and design.
• Understanding of structure mapping and inspection practices.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• EIT (Engineer in Training) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
