Mechanical Engineer

An experienced Mechanical Engineer will support innovative planning and analysis by:

Offering technical support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building mechanical system design and pre-construction analysis.

Conducting studies on innovative technical design and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts.

Researching and benchmarking industry trends to enhance building design and installation, supporting quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals.

Developing and supporting project justifications, business cases, and management presentations.

Providing technical expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including cross-department collaboration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) or 5+ years in hands-on building mechanical system experience

5+ years of experience in building design, construction, and/or operation/maintenance

5+ years of experience in industrial building mechanical systems (HVAC, process piping, chilled water, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, etc.)

3+ years Reporting & presentation skills, including Intermediate level experience of computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook)

Professional Engineering (PE) License (this is optional).

Experience in industrial control or automation systems (i.e. Energy/Building Management Systems, fire alarm systems, SCADA, etc.)

Experience in industrial building chemical systems (waste water, tank farms, etc.)

Experience in cross-departmental collaboration

Experience with Power BI, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD

Industry related Certifications in ASHRAE, CEM, LEED AP, PMP, etc.

Fundamental skills of problem solving and desire improve/kaizen

This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
