Electronic Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop digital and analog electronic PCBAs and system-level designs for energy products.
• Collaborate with teams such as mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, design validation, thermal design, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing test engineers.
• Take ownership of circuit board electronics from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in high-speed digital design and signal integrity.
• Proficiency with DDR memory and Ethernet interfaces.
• Experience with signal integrity simulation, ideally with Anysis SiWave.
• Ability to perform or guide PCB layout, including stackup design and controlled impedance definition.
• Proficiency in bench validation and debugging, including measuring eye diagram compliance.
• Basic firmware understanding for bootloader configurations and device settings.
• Basic scripting skills to read and modify test scripts.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers, or programmable logic devices.
• Experience in designing digital communication buses such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, USB, SPI, I2C.
• Experience with analog sensors and signal conditioning circuits.
• Experience designing board-level power supplies (buck, boost, flyback).
• Experience in PCB layout, plane definition, and thermal and EMC optimization.
• Knowledge of medium to high volume DFT and DFM.
• Previous experience in the solar, energy storage, electric vehicle, or charging industry is a plus.
• Experience with battery management systems, power electronics, high-speed digital design, or RF is a plus.
• Familiarity with development of digital and analog interfaces for test systems, especially using Labview, Matlab, or Python, is a plus.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mountain View, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
