Software Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer to lead our automation efforts for the software test platform using Ranorex. This role focuses on writing test cases and developing code to support test automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in developing test automation code in Ranorex or similar tools like Selenium.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test automation code using Ranorex.
• Collaborate with Test Architects to support and enhance the automated test framework.
• Automate existing manual test protocols for medical device software.
• Determine the best automation tools moving forward to ensure scalability for derivative versions of current systems.
• Work within the existing infrastructure built on Microsoft/Azure, utilizing C++/C#.
• Integrate automation with existing Python and Ranorex components.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of automated software test development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in medical device or safety-critical environments.
• Proficient in test development and automated software testing.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with Ranorex.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Test framework or similar test suite management frameworks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with firmware/software-heavy product automation.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring office presence 3-4 days a week. The role is part of an early-stage startup that has recently received significant financial investments, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the product and company. The current infrastructure is built on Microsoft/Azure, with code primarily written in C++/C#, and some components in Python and Ranorex.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
