Software Engineer in Plano, TX!

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our AI product development team. In this role, you will solve complex problems and collaborate with talented engineers to design and implement an innovative Responsible AI Evaluation framework. You will create automated evaluation systems for multimodal AI agents across both cloud and edge AI automotive environments. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain agentic frameworks to assist customers and business stakeholders in running, evaluating, and monitoring LLM-based applications.
  • Design and develop software solutions by writing maintainable, extensible, and tested code while adhering to coding standards.
  • Design and implement core Responsible AI evaluation framework, scalable APIs, and robust logging and audit trail systems.
  • Implement frameworks for interfacing with diverse AI agents and adapters for different input channels.
  • Create comprehensive audit reporting systems, visualization dashboards, and automate report generation.
  • Implement error handling and failure recovery mechanisms.
  • Develop monitoring and observability features, and automated testing suites for the framework.
  • Optimize system scalability and performance.
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
  • Continuously integrate and deliver software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Lead by example in following best practices in development and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Facilitate end-to-end user testing with customers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners to shape and deliver features to customers.
  • Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards, and share architecture patterns or new technologies.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in writing clean, concise, tested, maintainable code in languages such as Python or similar.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and automation tools, messaging queuing systems, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with foundation LLMs and techniques for model modification using tuning, RAGs, or agentic frameworks, transformers, and multi-modal AI architecture.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch, Strands, MongoDB VoyageAI.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ML/AI system integration and MLOps practices.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and synthetic data generation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to analyze data, assess risks, and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and implement creative strategies.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to apply systems thinking to understand interdependencies and design effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
