Software Engineer

Exciting Software Engineer Opportunity

Our client is looking for strong C++ or Java developers in a Linux environment for multiple levels. Under general supervision, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs for computer-based systems. Your role will involve system modeling, simulation, and analysis, as well as designing and developing compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. You will also be required to provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs as needed. You will be supporting Navy programs, making an immediate impact!

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in C++ or Java programming in a Linux operating system.
• Experience in software design, design implementation, subsystem and system integration, and testing.
• Experience with software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and software acceptance reviews.
• Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse, Netbeans, Linux, and embedded software.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and UML.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Object-Oriented design and development, including the use of Design Patterns.
• 2+ years of experience developing software with C++.
• Experience with Python and Bash is a plus.
• Experience working with Windows, Solaris, and LINUX environments.
• Experience developing scripts for Solaris and other UNIX variants.
• Familiarity with MS Office and IDEs such as Eclipse.
• Familiarity with the xUnit framework, especially JUnit and CppUnitLite.
• Experience with CMMI Level 5 life cycle processes and procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Moorestown, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
