Site Civil Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Project Engineer to support a variety of land development and infrastructure projects. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to grow your technical and project management skills in a collaborative, people-first environment. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for stormwater design, grading, profiles, plan production, corridors, and more. Our projects encompass site development and public out-parcels for both private and public clients, including retail, correctional facilities, ADA trails and sidewalks, warehouses, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed civil site design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, drainage, utility, profiles, and corridors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to streamline processes, optimize project workflows, and nurture client relationships.
  • Prepare construction documents, exhibits, and technical drawings in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of site layout plans, roadway alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, and permitting agencies.
  • Maintain organized project files and drawing standards.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • 5+ years of experience in site civil engineering and design
  • Proficiency with stormwater design, including grading, drainage systems, floodplain analysis, retention/detention basins, culverts, and hydrologic/hydraulic calculations
  • Ability to work independently with limited training in a remote setting

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • EIT/PE license or the ability to obtain one in the near future
  • Project management experience for civil site projects

Work Environment:

This position is 100% remote with plans to establish a brick-and-mortar office by 2026. Candidates must be based in Ohio. This role allows you to be part of a newly established company (2024) with a growing backlog of projects, offering the unique opportunity to contribute at the ground floor of its growth journey.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits:
