Sr. Structural Engineering Lead
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Boise, ID. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Boise area. This position requires a minimum of 8+ years of experience in structural engineering and an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. A Structural Engineer (S.E.) license is a plus.
Pay – $100,000–$140,000/year (Depending on experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant job titles)
Location – Boise, ID (Onsite)
Schedule – Standard Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering efforts from concept through construction, ensuring technical excellence and code compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on structural codes, materials, and construction techniques.
- Produce and review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and consultants to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight to maintain high standards.
- Develop innovative structural solutions tailored to client and project needs.
- Perform advanced structural analysis and assessments for new and existing structures.
- Represent the firm in client engagements, site visits, and project presentations.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (non-negotiable).
- 8+ years of experience in structural design across multiple sectors.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as RISA, Revit, and ArchiCAD.
- Strong leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.
Disqualifiers
- No active P.E. license.
- Less than 8 years of structural engineering experience.
- No experience with full project lifecycle (start to finish).
- No proficiency in ArchiCAD or structural design software.
