Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Power & Industrial & Buildings group. You will work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable structural design packages for power generation facilities. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work in-office or in a hybrid setting at one of our office locations throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs for new power generation facilities or retrofit existing ones.
• Design concrete and structural steel support structures, including foundation design for combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis.
• Collaborate on the design of control buildings and ancillary structures.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and OSHA.
• Utilize software such as Smartplant, Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD for structural design and drafting.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural designs for power generation facilities, particularly thermal power.
• Proficiency with FEM structural analysis programs such as RISA or STAAD.
• Strong understanding of dynamic analysis and seismic response spectra analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Smartplant 3D, Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Strong client focus with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take ownership of projects.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and MS Outlook.

Work Environment

The work environment is flexible, with options for fully remote work. Candidates local to office locations are preferred, and there is a preference for those in the West Coast timezone, though candidates across the country, including those with TN-Visa/Status, are welcome. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
