Senior R&D Engineer (Shelf-life)
The Senior R&D Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to extend the shelf life of products and meet manufacturing requirements. The role involves engaging in product cycles and understanding product interactions with end clients, focusing on shelf-life testing and product requirement redefinition.
Responsibilities
- Assist in extending product shelf life, particularly for catheters.
- Redefine or remediate product requirements to meet clinical needs and standards.
- Conduct shelf-life testing, with a preference for catheter shelf-life testing.
- Engage in design verification and validation processes.
- Utilize the Instron pull test machine and perform DOEs testing.
- Design couplers to connect multiple catheters using SolidWorks.
- Contribute to manufacturing requirement processes.
Essential Skills
- Experience in medical devices.
- Proficiency in shelf-life testing.
- Strong understanding of product requirements and their clinical relevance.
- Competence in design verification and validation processes.
- Ability to use Instron pull test machine and conduct DOEs testing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- 5-7 years of experience, including injection molding experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 1-2 product cycles.
- Understanding of product interaction with end clients.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Sunnyvale, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $126000.00 - $220200.00/yr.
They will get Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO 3 weeks, Stock Options. There is also team events every quarter.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Sunnyvale,CA.
