Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team on-site in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will design, develop, and test mechanical systems for cutting-edge electro-optical products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Optical, Firmware, and Manufacturing, to bring innovative concepts from design through to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for products.
• Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
• Contribute to prototype builds, reviews, and iterative development cycles.

Essential Skills

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• Strong experience with FEA, CFD, and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• At least 3 years of experience in thermal and dynamics.
• Experience in designing for machining, additive manufacturing, or other production methods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electro-optical systems or military/aerospace R&D projects is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position, requiring attendance 5 days a week from 8 AM to 4 PM. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and polo shirts. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $180000.00/yr. Able to provide benefit details upon request.
