RF Field Service Engineer

Radio Dispatch Technician

System Management: Configure and utilize radio dispatch consoles, radio networks, and peripheral devices to support local business processes.

Ensure service, security, performance, and availability levels of network computer systems.

Customer Support: Prioritize and resolve issues related to radio dispatch consoles, telecom, radio networks, and infrastructure.

Technical Analysis: Analyze system failures, identify and restore equipment malfunctions. Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements.

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.

Product Management: Manage technical products, services, logistics, provisioning, and configurations for assigned customers. Assess product needs according to customer specifications.

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical problems and recommend actions to company or customer representatives.

Installation: Install and maintain digital wireless communication equipment in VHF, UHF, 800 MHz bands operating on trunking or conventional modes. Install and maintain dispatch console systems.

Project Management: Manage statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements. Collect feedback and maintain good relationships with customers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years of experience working at a field service technician. Knowledge and experience troubleshooting, analyzing and configuring radio & desktop equipment and systems. Knowledge and experience servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.

Asset: experience with specific vendors like Zetron, Aftek, L3 Harris, Technosonic, ICOM, and Jotron would be a significant advantage.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga, ON.
