RF Antenna Engineer

Basic Functions: The RF Antenna Engineer will work with other Electrical Design Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineers, Drafters in developing and supporting aviation antennas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, modelling, simulation, prototyping and testing of aviation antennas in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band (i.e. patch antennas, slot antennas, conformal antennas, antenna arrays …)
• RF circuit design, simulation, prototyping and testing of components and subsystems, such as antennas, LNA, Power Amps, filters, combiners, etc. in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band
• RF 3D modelling, circuit layout and drafting
• Perform circuit analysis using computer aided tools
• Additional responsibilities as they become necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics with working experience in design and testing of Antennas and RF/Microwave components or subsystems
• Knowledge of basic Antenna design theory, behavior and fundamentals
• Experience with EM simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of RF/Microwave passive and active components
• Working knowledge of RF/Microwave laboratory test equipment for testing of circuit and subsystems (i.e Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Meters etc.)
• Soldering, circuit construction skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time
• Knowledge of MS Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• The ability to work independently. Able to work with different levels of staff and management.
• Strong attention to detail. Punctual and reliable person.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Experience Level: Expert Level

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr.
