RF Design Engineer

RF Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Mentor junior RF engineers and guide their technical development.
• Oversee technical status of RF projects.
• Run simulations and provide actionable insights.
• Build simulation models, interpret results, and coordinate with the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within RF systems.
• Lead technical challenges with experience and a proactive mindset.

Essential Skills:

• RF, Signal processing, RF design, Radio frequency, RF engineering, Digital signal processing.
• Design or architecture of a 4G or 5G RF Radio (downlink and uplink).
• Understanding of Link Budgets and their effect on subsystems.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven record in designing RF circuits within the Radio Unit ecosystem.
• Strong command of 3GPP specifications and spectrum/regulatory considerations.
• Advanced understanding of DPD across the RF chain.
• Proficiency with RF lab equipment and simulation tools (ADS, AWR, MATLAB).
• Organized, goal-oriented technical leader.
• Experience with PA linearization and calibration.
• Participation in next-generation architecture investigations/proposals.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa, ON.
