Electrical Design Engineer

What You'll Do

• Engineer creative solutions to complex electrical challenges while advising clients on essential operational decisions.
• Lead the design of low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution and motor control systems for major infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
• Develop detailed construction specifications for a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support construction teams, ensuring your designs are implemented accurately and safely.
• Perform critical power system analyses, including short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Plan and track project scope, schedule, and budget, contributing to successful project delivery.
• Take on additional technical challenges as new opportunities and project needs arise.

What You Bring

• Strong electrical design expertise with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• 8+ years of experience designing electrical systems for horizontal infrastructure—wastewater treatment plants, data centers, or similar facilities.
• Current PE license, or the ability to obtain one within your first year.
• Solid understanding of key industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
• Proven success working with private‑sector clients.

Bonus Skills

• Experience using Mathcad.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering in data center environments.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse, cross‑disciplinary teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $77.00/hr.
