Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Reliability Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team. This role involves conducting in-depth reliability modeling and analysis for various systems and components, ensuring that design solutions meet reliability and availability requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reliability modeling and analyses for systems and components.
- Support the design of solutions to satisfy reliability and availability requirements.
- Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA / WCA) to ensure electrical circuit function under extreme conditions.
- Execute Worst Case Timing Analysis (WCTA) to meet timing requirements.
- Conduct Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (PSA) to extend component life by reducing applied stress.
- Perform Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify and mitigate single point failures.
- Generate reliability predictions to assess compliance with numerical reliability requirements.
- Conduct Limited Life Analysis (LLA) to ensure components meet mission life requirements.
- Develop reliability analyses and reports for program deliverables.
- Provide Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) engineering support.
- Coordinate with EEE parts component engineer for parts selection based on mission environments.
- Participate in Material Review Board and Failure Review Board activities.
- Lead Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACA) efforts.
- Update reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis based on field data.
- Support systems throughout the entire product lifecycle including concept, development, integration, test, and post-market support.
- Offer adaptable support to other engineering organizations, including program reliability engineering support and proposal development.
- Collaborate with program and engineering staff on design, integration, and test matters.
- Support program design and readiness reviews.
- Troubleshoot conflicting design/development reliability requirements and special material requirements.
- Document and perform technical presentations.
- Interface with customers during program shaping, ConOps development, and reliability analysis activities.
- Provide direction to design or technical staff and may lead a team of experienced professionals.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and obligations and operate safely according to established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with quality engineering, electrical systems, high power systems.
- Proficiency in FMECA, WCCA/WCA, PSA, FDIR.
- Experience in high power systems, electrical systems, and electro-magnetic systems.
- Experience in aerospace defense.

Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based out of Poway, California.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
