Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing processes, procedures, and systems to ensure assets perform to specification throughout their life cycle. This involves reviewing documents, drawings, and manuals, and applying asset execution expertise and RCM principles to enhance the asset management process.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage asset criticality analysis and own the asset master data and spare parts master.
  • Act as the single point of responsibility for Asset Master Update, including new asset creation, asset updates, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure accurate asset master data and BOM for all assets in SAP.
  • Lead the development of criteria for evaluating equipment and technical MRO suppliers, as well as technical maintenance service providers.
  • Collaborate with other Reliability Engineers to define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an asset maintenance plan.
  • Implement value-added and detailed preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
  • Provide input to a risk management plan that anticipates reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could impact plant operations.
  • Lead the Defect Elimination Program and develop solutions to repetitive failures and other issues affecting plant operations, including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance.
  • Work with the Maintenance team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of current equipment.
  • Provide leadership and technical assistance to Maintenance Crafts.
  • Collaborate with production and production planning to identify and prioritize RCA focus meetings for problematic assets.
  • Lead RCA for major failure incident investigations across the site.
  • Develop and deliver SAP training for all Maintenance personnel.
  • Adhere to company safety and health guidelines and policies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Essential Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering.
  • Expertise in reliability engineering, hydraulics, rotating equipment, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance, defect elimination, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in FMEA and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in reliability and maintenance strategies development and implementation.

Work Environment:

  • This position is located in a foundry environment. The role involves hands-on work in the plant, collaborating with a team. The project includes 32 identified critical assets. The work requires adherence to company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.

Job Type & Location:

  • This is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
