Quality Process Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Process Engineer to drive significant quality improvements in our injection molding operations. This role will audit and elevate existing processes to eliminate customer complaints and product defects, ensure compliance with validation protocols, and champion continuous improvement across manufacturing and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process engineering on the manufacturing line to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure operations run smoothly by managing day-to-day activities including running presses and manufacturing molded components.
• Audit and review manufacturing lines and processes to maintain quality standards.
• Perform defect analysis and remediation to design control plans.
• Sustain engineering efforts by implementing continuous improvement strategies.
• Conduct gap assessments and ensure compliance with IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols.

Essential Skills

• Experience in process engineering and process improvement.
• Proficiency in manufacturing processes, specifically in molded components and injection molding.
• Strong auditing skills and ability to implement remediation strategies.
• Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ and PFMEA protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in contract manufacturing, ideally within the medical device industry and working with molded parts.
• Flexibility to work in a regulated environment, with experience in the automotive industry being a plus.

Work Environment

This role is based in Fremont, CA, where there are two sites: a contract manufacturing plant and a design and development lab. The team is growing and involved in new product introductions, offering exposure to both sustaining projects post-commercialization and innovative products in pre-commercialization.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
