Quality Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to oversee our projects by reviewing and filing quality documentation, conducting material reviews, and supporting Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). The role involves working through Non-Conformance Reports and managing the deviation process for acceptance or rejection. You will be responsible for maintaining control of these processes and capturing all relevant information into History Dockets to ensure all documents, deviations, and non-conformance reports are closed and accepted by the customer within the ITPs. Additionally, you will create Inspection & Test Reports and ensure the quality assurance releases are in order, verifying the tooling and documents are ready for shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop performance measurements and reporting requirements that establish quality metrics for each stage of the production process.
  • Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production staff to emphasize the importance of quality and train them in quality procedures.
  • Support quality technicians by providing them the necessary tools to control quality on the production line.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Work with members of the supply chain department to ensure the quality of raw materials, components, or sub-assemblies and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit reports, and determining appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a quality engineer in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with non-conformance reports, corrective action, preventative action.
  • Ability to use 5WHY, 8D or comparable methods.

Work Environment:

This position requires working on-site five days a week, with core hours from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Cambridge, ON.
