Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer III

Looking for leader driving strategic quality initiatives, advancing our Quality Management System (QMS), and ensuring compliance across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing cross-functional teams, and shaping the future of quality excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as assistant to the QA Manager, leading meetings and supporting departmental planning.
• Drive QMS harmonization and best practice standardization across sites.
• Act as site lead for customer audits and regulatory inspections (ISO, AS9100, FDA if applicable).
• Define and track strategic quality goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Lead multi-disciplinary problem-solving for systemic issues such as scrap, warranty returns, and field failures.
• Develop and implement supplier quality programs, including audits and performance improvement plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical development sessions.
• Support design for manufacturability (DFM), PFMEA, and process validation during product development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
