Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will implement and manage process and product controls to ensure first-time product quality. You will resolve daily in-process quality issues and evaluate materials and components against customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Resolve daily in-process quality issues for assigned value streams.
• Lead investigation and resolution for internal nonconformances, customer product quality complaints, and supplier quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques such as 8D and DMAIC.
• Facilitate and manage continuous improvement teams to enhance safety and reduce the cost of quality metrics.
• Capture and maintain Quality scorecard metrics and recommend improvements to transition the organization from a reactive to a proactive culture.
• Develop and lead internal product/process quality audit systems, closing out audit findings and reporting results to upper management.
• Design systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels and interpret and report trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System.
• Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve safety and quality problems, leading initiatives focused on problem prevention and variance reduction.
• Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
• Review and establish PPAP requirements for product/process changes and new product development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
