This role primarily involves extensive documentation, source inspection lists, paperwork, and reviewing part planning paperwork. The Quality Engineer will review certifications from suppliers and internal certifications, perform non-conformance tracking, and close reviews. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent on the production floor conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
The work environment is within a medium-sized aerospace company that serves as a single source provider for critical flight safety components used in aircraft such as Sikorsky helicopters. The company employs 65-70 people, with a modest office environment and an industrial manufacturing floor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, California.
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
