Immediate Quality Engineering Opportunity!
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. This role focuses heavily on documentation, including source inspection lists, paperwork review, and certifications. The position requires performing non-conformance tracking and closing reviews. You will also spend 50% of your time on the production floor conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Document and review source inspection lists and part planning paperwork.
- Review and verify certifications from suppliers and internal sources.
- Track and close non-conformance issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis on the production floor.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Perform first article reporting and internal audits.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Experience with quality engineering and assurance.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems.
- Ability to conduct internal audits and manage non-conforming products.
- Strong skills in inspection and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering or technical degree, preferably BSME in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace.
- 3-5 years of experience as a quality engineer.
- Experience with Material Review Board processes, non-conformance reporting, and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with 8D Method of Root Cause Corrective Action Reporting.
- Experience with GD&T and blueprint reading is a plus.
- Ability to compile manufacturing documentation and develop SOPs.
Work Environment
You will be working in a medium-sized aerospace company known for being a single-source provider for flight safety critical components, used in aircraft such as Sikorsky helicopters. Our company values ownership, initiative, and a willingness to learn. With 65-70 employees, we strive to maintain a family-like atmosphere. The office environment is modest, while the manufacturing floor is industrial. We offer a unique benefit of $10/day for lunch from Monday to Thursday, and catered meals on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
