Quality Engineer

This middle-level Quality Engineer position supports the daily production of injection molded and painted parts for a high-level program experiencing quality defects in injection molding and paint processes.

The role primarily involves running Design of Experiments (DOE) set up by management and collecting and reporting data to the upper quality team. The majority of the work is conducted at the paint plant, with occasional travel to the mold plant.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production of injection molded and painted parts.
• Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) as set up by management.
• Collect and report data to upper quality team members.
• Engage in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address complex problems.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Proficiency in quality engineering and plastic injection processes.
• Data collection and analysis skills.
• Root cause analysis expertise.
• Problem-solving capabilities with experience in 5y, DOE, and Green Belt methodologies.
• Strong experience in data collection and organization using Excel.

Work Environment

This position is based primarily at the paint plant, with occasional travel to the mold plant.

The role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in injection molding and paint processes while working on a high-volume automotive product line.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
