Quality Assurance Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Assurance Engineer, specializing in Video & Audio systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our Pro AV products by collaborating closely with our Engineering and Production Departments. This on-site position requires you to take ownership of quality assurance processes, from implementation to documentation. You will help maintain the integrity and adherence to product specifications before product release or shipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Measure, test, evaluate, and document product performance to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.
• Inspect products and conduct failure and quality analysis using Quality and Manufacturing principles.
• Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, and signal generators.
• Plan and oversee Quality workload, including scheduling and resource management.
• Lead resolution efforts for product quality issues to achieve zero defects.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits, including ISO 9001:2016 certification.
• Perform root cause analysis and generate reports and corrective actions for product problems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that involve cross-functional teams.
• Create and implement policies, procedures, specifications, and end-user documentation.
• Advise on product development and production workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering to address hardware and software concerns.

Essential Skills

• B.S. in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control of video/audio hardware and systems.
• Expertise in concurrent Engineering and Process Management principles.
• Proficiency in using video-specific test equipment.
• Solid understanding of high-speed video/audio/data transmission and digital video formats.
• Knowledge of test methods and procedures for product evaluation.
• Ability to identify errors and provide detailed reporting.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Training in Lean/5S principles preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Class 1 or Class 2 medical devices.
• Experience with NPI and Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Familiarity with audio visual, fiber optic cables, and PCBAs.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to self-learn and work in new technology domains.

Work Environment

You will be part of a dedicated team of 7, including 4 inspectors, 2 manufacturing engineers, and a quality manager. This on-site role involves working on a variety of products and new product introductions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits
