QA & Systems Support Engineer

Job Title

This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop computers, peripherals, software, and related systems. Responsibilities include timely resolution of issues affecting hardware, software, and user permissions, as well as routine hardware maintenance.

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals

Resolve hardware/software issues and manage user permissions

Perform routine hardware maintenance

Ensure customer focus, proactive attitude, and high standards of work

Communicate effectively (verbal and written)

Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills

MUST HAVES:

BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs

5 years of experience in QA testing

5 years of PC, software, and hardware troubleshooting

Strong working knowledge of Android, macOS, and Windows operating systems

Experience with release management processes

Support experience with Windows XP/7 and Windows Server in managed desktop environments

User-level support for macOS (OS X 10.4+), Linux, and UNIX systems (Red Hat preferred)

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Windows Server networking)

NICE TO HAVES:

Microsoft MCSA/MCSE

Apple ACMT/ACSP

Cisco CCNA

Red Hat preferred at user level

This is a contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
