Project Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects focused on water and wastewater systems. Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with project execution.
• Generate RFIs and PCO documentation, maintaining files and logs.
• Assist in creating and processing submittals, verifying accuracy, and coordinating with engineers and suppliers until approval and release to fabrication.
• Participate in the creation of various project plans and submittals.
• Issue purchase orders and subcontracts as directed.
• Maintain the Bill of Materials.
• Attend project meetings regularly.
• Monitor project budgets to help maintain profitability.
• Track the CPM Schedule to ensure projects are on or ahead of schedule and maintain a positive billing ratio.
• Assist in receiving materials and entering data into the View Point system.
• Promote safe work practices by preplanning and applying engineering safety measures.
• Work with the Superintendent to ensure correct equipment is on-site, well-maintained, and utilized efficiently.
• Support the project to ensure it meets contract documents, industry standards, and intended use.
• Assist with project startup and closeout processes.
• Notify the Project Manager or Superintendent of significant issues that could affect safety, work efficacy, schedule, profitability, or company reputation.

Essential Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in project engineering or coordination.
• Knowledge in construction, especially related to water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to monitor budgets and schedules effectively.
• Understanding of contract documents and industry standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Water experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with the View Point system and construction industry safety practices.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Livermore, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.

Healthcare coverage begins the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. GSE covers 90% of the employee and 30% of all dependents' premium for health insurance.
