Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a dynamic team working on a large-scale water/wastewater infrastructure project. This is a high-impact, on-site role supporting a $190M clean water infrastructure initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale construction projects, particularly in the water/wastewater or industrial sector, and be comfortable managing RFIs, submittals, and coordination tasks. This role offers growth paths to Project Manager or Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project management activities including RFIs, submittals, and coordination
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other engineers on-site
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle—from preconstruction and estimating to closeout
• Engage with subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth execution

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years in water infrastructure projects
• Experience with water/wastewater or clean water infrastructure projects
• RFIs, submittals, and coordination experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Exposure to full project lifecycle
• Experience managing projects valued between $10M-$50M preferred
• Preconstruction and estimating experience preferred

• Candidates from oil & gas or energy sectors
• Process engineers without relevant water/wastewater experience
• Commercial construction professionals seeking to stay in that sector

Work Environment: On-site at the Westminster, CO. Collaborative team of Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $82,000.00 - $107,000.00/yr. Compensation: $82,000–$107,000/year + discretionary bonus (3–7%, eligible starting next year) Career Path: PE → Superintendent Project Manager
