Project Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to manage and coordinate engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to production and delivery. You will play a pivotal role in translating customer and internal requirements into actionable engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and internal requirements into actionable engineering plans.
• Collaborate effectively with manufacturing and test teams.
• Track project milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support new product introduction by coordinating design validation, documentation, and process readiness.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, technical decisions, and change management.
• Interface with suppliers and external partners to ensure component quality and timely delivery.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in engineering and project management.
• Experience with change order processes.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as Solidworks and CATIA.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in project or manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-tech industries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with laser communication systems and ruggedized military equipment.
• Knowledge of environmental testing standards such as MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team, fostering a collaborative and engaging work atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hawthorne, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $110000.00/yr. 401khealth dentalvision

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Hawthorne, CA.
