Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in managing and executing significant capital projects at our second-largest facility globally. This position involves overseeing project processes, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to, and coordinating with contractors for successful project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution of capital projects, focusing on design, installation, and refurbishment of equipment and utilities.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and design modifications, interfacing effectively with contractors.
• Work closely with design teams on layout and conceptualization.
• Coordinate and supervise the installation of piping and electrical systems supporting primary product lines.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental, health, safety, and quality policies.
• Provide engineering support for analysis, design, purchase, modification, installation, and start-up of production and facility equipment and systems.

Essential Skills:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally.
• Ability to manage contractors and supervise processes effectively.
• Experience in commissioning and qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $2-5M.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-10 years of experience in high-speed packaging equipment or chemical batch processing operations in consumer products.
• Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project assignments concurrently.
• Proficiency in project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, design and layout, and contractor supervision.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and a commitment to continuous learning.

You will work hands-on with contractors and engineers on the floor, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality and safety. This role offers the opportunity to impact new product development and site transformation initiatives.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of SAINT PETERS, MO.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
