Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in managing and executing significant capital projects at our second-largest facility globally. This position involves overseeing project processes, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to, and coordinating with contractors for successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of capital projects, focusing on design, installation, and refurbishment of equipment and utilities.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and design modifications, interfacing effectively with contractors.
- Work closely with design teams on layout and conceptualization.
- Coordinate and supervise the installation of piping and electrical systems supporting primary product lines.
- Ensure compliance with permits, environmental, health, safety, and quality policies.
- Provide engineering support for analysis, design, purchase, modification, installation, and start-up of production and facility equipment and systems.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to manage contractors and supervise processes effectively.
- Experience in commissioning and qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $2-5M.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of experience in high-speed packaging equipment or chemical batch processing operations in consumer products.
- Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments concurrently.
- Proficiency in project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, design and layout, and contractor supervision.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and a commitment to continuous learning.

You will work hands-on with contractors and engineers on the floor, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality and safety. This is a Contract position based out of SAINT PETERS, MO.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
