Project Engineer
Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in project planning, design, and resource management. You will ensure quality assurance, cost management, and regulatory compliance while fostering effective communication among project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Assist with the technical aspects of the project, including reviewing and interpreting design drawings and specifications.
- Manage the allocation of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to meet project needs.
- Oversee quality control, ensuring construction work meets design standards, industry regulations, and safety codes.
- Monitor project expenses, track costs, and identify opportunities to stay within the project budget.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, change orders, and construction records.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, including procurement, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Identify and address potential project risks to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
- Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Address and resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and challenges encountered during construction.
- Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services needed for the project.
- Ensure the project adheres to local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work to meet project milestones and deadlines by managing the project schedule.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, budget status, and other key metrics to project managers and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A two or four-year degree in an accredited engineering or construction management program.
- Experience as a Field Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager.
- Construction industry experience or internships.

- Competency working with a wide range of technology.

Our general contracting firm is located in Mountain View, California, with a growing team of nearly 50 employees. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mountain View, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $57.00/hr.
