Project Engineer

Provide support to the project team to ensure quality and timely execution of assigned projects from design through closeout. Responsibilities include scheduling assistance, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, management of the submittal requirements and approval, construction quality oversight, and assistance with project closeout. The role may also require specific technical expertise such as surveying, cut/fill analysis, quality assurance, safety assessment, compliance, etc.

Review project plans and proposals and collaborate with the project manager to develop project objectives and identify risks.

Prepare and distribute a description and timeline of the project.

Assist in the development of project-specific scopes of work.

Study project design, customer requirements, and performance standards to align specifications accordingly.

Present cost comparison analysis.

Develop bid documents for subcontractor selection.

Review contractor bids and prepare bid summaries.

Oversee the technical aspects of a project through project team meetings and other forms of communication.

Manage the project submittal requirements.

Assist with change management.

Support the Project Manager with other duties as required.

1+ years of field experience.

Previous experience working for an excavation contractor.

Proficiency in agtek software.

Technical expertise in areas such as surveying, cut/fill analysis, quality assurance, safety assessment, and compliance.

The role involves working closely with the project team to ensure quality and timely project execution. The environment is collaborative, focusing on technical oversight and effective communication to meet project objectives. The position requires the use of the person software and may involve fieldwork related to excavation projects.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
