Project Engineer
Manage technical projects from concept through implementation, including design changes, product updates, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and risk assessments to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.
- Support product lifecycle activities including prototype development, testing, validation, and production ramp-up.
- Provide engineering support for sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, technical evaluations, and alternate material/component identification.
- Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to assess supplier capabilities and drive technical alignment for new or existing products.
- Lead value engineering efforts focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to support sourcing transitions and product changes.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design.
- Experience in project management, including project scheduling, timelines, and execution.
- Strong understanding of fit, form, and function in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with design reviews and assessing tolerances.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP (ERP).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Effective communication skills.
Work Environment:
The position offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, allowing for remote work on Monday and Friday.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
