Product Engineer

Plans, schedules, organizes, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work with a specific focus on product modifications and application projects. This role involves conventional research and development, as well as product design. The position may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development to drive innovation.
  • Engage in product design and improvement efforts.
  • Develop professional engineering and quality documentation within the field of product development.
  • Collaborate with operational units based on project scope.
  • Ensure the production of accurate work.
  • Manage assigned projects and engineering activities, supervise, and review work results of assigned team members.
  • Make informed decisions based on the complexity of projects and their impact on the company.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards associated with products within your responsibility.
  • Clarify and coordinate engineering questions with lead engineers, other operational units, and suppliers.
  • Perform any additional duties that may be assigned and those logically inherent to this position.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in design and product engineering.
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to manage new product development.

This is a Direct Hire position based out of Greeneville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
