Chemical Process Engineer - Coal Gasification Plant Operations

As a Process Engineer, you will analyze and improve existing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety in the gasification process. You will provide technical support and guidance in process chemistry to plant operators and other engineering staff, identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime, and ensure continuous operation. You will lead and participate in projects aimed at process improvement, ensuring all processes comply with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and improve existing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety in the gasification process.
• Provide technical support and guidance in process chemistry to plant operators and other engineering staff.
• Identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead and participate in projects aimed at process improvement, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process changes, improvements, and standard operating procedures.
• Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and environmental health and safety, to ensure integrated and efficient plant operations.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
