Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design the workflow process within the steelmaking department.
• Develop and assist in the installation and follow-up on new and improved process enhancements for the entire steelmaking process.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Diagnose failures, determine solutions, and make suggestions for improvement.
• Create reports with cost and time estimates for each project.
• Ensure process stability and consistency by developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

Work in a very heavy manufacturing environment and office setting. You will be required to move around the entire plant and multiple mills. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that tackles cost centers with the most opportunity for improvement and helps bring an American steel mill back online to produce for years to come.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Peoria, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
