Process Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Development Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in process development engineering. This role involves developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing processes and molding operations. The ideal candidate will excel in scientific molding, tool qualification, and process tooling and design collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes and molding operations, including scientific molding and tool qualification.
• Collaborate on tooling and design, including design reviews, mold sampling, tool improvements, and prototype/tool development.
• Troubleshoot molding, material, and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Drive process improvement, validation, and production support, including APQP/PPAP deliverables, equipment improvements, and cross-functional launch readiness.

• Experience in developing processes for prototypes

• Knowledge of medical devices and ISO standards
• Equipment manufacturing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
• Experience in automotive or aerospace defense industries is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position is within a manufacturing company specializing in medical devices, working alongside approximately 35 other engineers. The work environment offers flexible hours, such as 8-5, 9-6, or 7-4, with minimal overtime. Employees can expect a 5% annual bonus.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, IN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.30 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
