Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer with strong design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design systems with a focus on digital design and foundational analog integration.
• Create schematic designs and PCB layouts using schematic design tools.
• Conduct system-level troubleshooting and resolve issues down to the component level.
• Utilize logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for analysis and testing.
• Engage in design reviews and contribute to the development from concept to prototype.
• Enhance and build upon previous designs, depending on experience with FPGA and embedded C.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in electrical engineering and electrical design.
• Knowledge of digital circuits and digital design, particularly with STM32 microcontrollers.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and prototype development.
• Familiarity with Altium Designer and schematic design tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems to the component level and conduct design reviews.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in medical device development is a nice-to-have but not required.

Work Environment

The position is based in Santa Clara and requires on-site work from Monday to Friday with flexible start times between 7am and 9am based on business needs. The role involves an 8-hour shift in a state-of-the-art facility.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69.00 - $79.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
