Principal Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design embedded systems hardware with an emphasis on digital circuits.
• Utilize schematic design tools for PCB design and system-level troubleshooting.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting down to the component level using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Participate in running design reviews and produce concepts to prototype stages.
• Enhance existing designs and build upon them using embedded C and FPGA as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Strong background in electrical engineering and electrical design.
• Proficient in digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with STM32 microcontroller and embedded systems.
• Skilled in using Altium Designer for schematic and PCB design.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems at a detailed component level.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in medical device development is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment:

This position is based on-site in Santa Clara, operating Monday through Friday with an 8-hour shift. There is a flexible start time between 7 am to 9 am based on business needs. The role is located in a state-of-the-art facility, offering an opportunity to work on innovative electronic products in the field of catheter technology.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $89.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
