Principal Electrical Engineer, Digital
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded systems with a focus on hardware and low-level embedded design.
- Design digital circuits and mixed-signal systems with an emphasis on digital design.
- Create and refine schematics and PCB layouts using design tools such as Altium Designer.
- Troubleshoot systems down to the component level using tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Conduct design reviews and manage the process from concept to prototype.
- Build upon existing designs and adapt them for new requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to innovate and improve electromechanical catheter products.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design.
- Experience with digital circuits and digital design.
- Familiarity with STM32 microcontroller and embedded systems.
- Competency in using schematic design tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems to the component level.
- Experience in running design reviews and producing prototypes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in medical devices is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of FPGA and embedded C is beneficial.
Work Environment
The position is based in Santa Clara, working at a state-of-the-art facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible start times between 7 am and 9 am, for an 8-hour shift. This role requires on-site presence and offers the opportunity to work in a leading company in catheter technology.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69.00 - $79.00/hr.
