The Transmission Calibration Engineer plays a crucial role in developing the customer driving experience and optimizing fuel economy. Key activities include developing, verifying, and releasing transmission calibrations for automatic transmission applications. The engineer will perform hands-on, in-vehicle calibration development work, support test trips to verify proper transmission operation across various environmental conditions, and coordinate activities with global teams for vehicle development in global markets. The role involves using in-vehicle test instrumentation, ETAS-INCA calibration tools, and mathematical analysis tools such as Matlab.

The position is based 100% onsite at the Chelsea Proving Ground. The role requires driving an m-plate and involves about 20% US domestic travel for test trips.
This is a contract position based out of Chelsea, Michigan.
