Pipe Stress Engineer

Our client, a leader in the nuclear field, is looking for a Pipe Stress Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in the Mississauga area.

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to perform comprehensive evaluations of piping systems. The ideal candidate will work on various projects within heavy industrial environments, including power, mining, and oil & gas industries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pipe stress evaluations of piping systems in accordance with specific code requirements, including thermal, fatigue, seismic, linear, and non-linear analyses.
• Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software such as PipeStress, AutoPipe, MathCAD, GT STRUDL, and ANSYS.
• Review technical documents and drawings, including general arrangements, isometrics, pipe supports, flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Support the preparation of TSSA CRN registration packages for pressure boundary systems.
• Ensure engineering work adheres to QA programs, applicable codes, standards, and regulation requirements.

Essential Skills:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil & Structure from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (or in process/working towards).
• 5-10 years of related work experience in mechanical engineering within a heavy industrial/EPC environment.
• Working knowledge of CSA B31.1, B31.3.
• Design experience with piping supports for power, mining, oil & gas plants.
• Experience in stress analysis using software like PipeStress, AutoPipe, Caesar 2.

Work Environment:

The work location is primarily based in Mississauga, with potential work in Pickering. The position requires working in the office three days a week with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
